Vinegar Barbeque Sauce Recipes

Marinating and Vinegar

Why use vinegar barbeque sauce recipes? Vinegar naturally tenderizes meat when it is used as a marinate, so when used in a bbq sauce not only will it help to tenderize but will also add flavor to the sauce.Marinated Beef

You can find that almost any barbeque sauce recipe has vinegar as one of the ingredients. You can also substitute vinegar for any of the acidy ingredients in a recipe.

They all do the same thing when it comes to tenderizing, but the flavor will be different.

For a spicy vinegar barbeque sauce recipe you can try this one.

You will need:

  • 2 large chopped onions,
  • ½ cup of stewed tomatoes,
  • ½ cup of tomato paste,
  • 1 tablespoon of regular mustard,
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme,
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin,
  • 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce,
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar,
  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder,
  • 2 teaspoons of Tabasco sauce,
  • 1 cup of vinegar, and just a tad of vegetable oil for sautéing.

In the oil, sauté the onions, until they are translucent. Then add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and boil for about 5 minutes. Baste your meat and cook over low heat. You will absolutely love this tangy barbeque sauce.

You can search online for other vinegar based barbeque sauce recipes or just add the vinegar to your own favorite recipe. Either way you will love the flavor that vinegar adds to the barbeque and just how tender your meats will be after marinating in vinegar. I
