Pumpkin Pie Recipes

Many people may only serve pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, but around my family, desserts are one of the most important things to serve at any holiday and pumpkin pie happens to be our favorite. So, we serve pumpkin pie at every holiday or family gathering. It just wouldn’t be the same without 2 pumpkin pies on the dessert table.

Pumpkin pie is pretty easy to make today since you can find all ready prepared pumpkin puree in your local grocery store. But, you can also still prepare your own puree by purchasing a pumpkin and starting from scratch.

But, since we usually do not have the time to prepare the puree from scratch, we use prepared pumpkin.

For this pumpkin pie recipe you will need:

  • 1 pie shell,
  • 1 can of pumpkin puree,
  • 1 egg,
  • 14 ounces of
  • milnot or
  • sweet condensed milk,
  • teaspoon of cinnamon,
  • teaspoon of ginger, and
  • teaspoon of allspice.

Preheat your oven to 365 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl combine all ingredients and stir until well blended. Pour into pie shell and bake for around one hour or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the pie. Cool and serve with whipped topping.

There are a few variations using basically the same ingredients but have a different taste that everyone will enjoy.

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 pie shell,
  • cup of brown sugar,
  • cup of sugar,
  • a dash of salt,
  • 1 teaspoons of cinnamon,
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger,
  • teaspoons of cloves,
  • teaspoon of nutmeg,
  • teaspoon of allspice,
  • 1 can of pumpkin,
  • 1 cup of milk,
  • 1 can of milnot,
  • 2 beaten eggs, and whipped cream.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl combine the sugars, salt, and spices, and then add the pumpkin, stir until well blended. Now add the milk, milnot, and eggs. Stir again until blended and then pour into the pie shell.

Bake for around one hour until the center is completely done.
