Low Carb Chicken Recipes

 

Everyone loves chicken but finding low carb chicken recipes can be trying. If you want your cooking to be low in calories remember that most of the fat (and thus calories) are concentrated just beneath the chickens skin.

That's why in this recipe we use chicken breast filets. That is low-fat, low-calorie meat.

We have a delectable low carb blackened chicken recipe that I am sure you and your entire family is sure to enjoy.

 

For this recipe you will need:

  • 8 boneless and skinless chicken breasts,
  • 2 tablespoons of salt,
  • 1 tablespoons of garlic powder,
  • 2 tablespoons of pepper,
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder,
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin,
  • tablespoon of cayenne pepper,
  • tablespoon of paprika and
  • pound of melted unsalted butter.

In a medium size bowl, mix together the salt, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and paprika.

Prepare your large skillet by making sure the it's hot. You can drop little droplets of water into your skillet and if they dance around the skillet is hot and ready.

Dip each chicken breast in the melted butter and then coat both sides of the breasts with the seasoning mix by either rolling gently or patting it on the breast. Place the breast into the skillet, making sure all meat folds are opened up and the meat is lying flat. Pour a small amount of butter over the top of each chicken breast.

Place each breast in the skillet as soon as you have it seasoned and ready and then prepare the next chicken breast. Cook over high heat until it forms a crust around 2 minutes. Turn the chicken breast over and pour a small amount of melted butter on top of each. Cook just until meat is cooked through, about 2 minutes more.
