Grilled Duck Recipe

It’s a beautiful day outside, the whole family is outside having fun, and you have to cook dinner. Don’t fret, just pull out the grill or barbeque, grab some duck for a nice treat and treat yourself to a grilled duck recipe.

Grilling has always been a past time favorite of any backyard warrior. The family can hang out and have their fun outside while you’re having your fun grilling. No matter, if it’s charcoal or gas, a piece of grilled duck will always come out nice.

Here’s a quick grilled duck recipe to get you started in the duck grilling business. It’s fast simple and everyone will love how much flavor the duck brings to the table.

For this recipe you’ll need the following things, of course:

  • your duck breasts,
  • ½ cup oil,
  • 1 juiced lemon,
  • 1 tablespoon Worchester sauce,
  • 3 crushed juniper berries,
  • 1 tablespoon ground bay leaves,
  • 1 tablespoon thyme,
  • ½ teaspoon garlic,
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper,
  • and ½ teaspoon onion powder.

Use all the ingredients besides the duck breasts and mix them all together. Place the duck inside the mixture and let sit in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 12 hours. When you are ready to cook start the grill and grab the duck meat.

Place the duck breasts on the grill and let them cook about 15 minutes on each side. You want the duck meat to come out medium to medium rare. This lets you have the full taste of the duck meat without having to worry about any poultry diseases. This is a simple yet effective way to spend a nice day outside with the family.

Instead of just grilling up the same old chicken or beef, pull out that duck meat out of the freezer and give it a shot. Since the duck is a flying bird the meat has had to draw in more blood so it’ll have a nice robust flavor. Just don’t be afraid to mix anything with the duck. Duck meat goes very well with any kinds of fruit; don’t be afraid to mix it up with the meat, even throwing on an orange glaze to give it a zing. Have fun with the duck grilling recipes and let the family help out and everyone will have a nice day outside.
