Healthy Organic Quiche Recipe



This organic healthy recipe is full of vegetables that are not contaminated with pesticides. The flavor can not be beat.

This quiche dish can be made with or without the bacon if you have a vegetarian in the house. Nothing is better than warm quiche with fresh vegetables and a bold flavor.

Serve this dish with a great salad and bread and butter. Your family will be pleased.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1 zucchini, diced
  • 1 orange bell pepper, diced
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust
  • 2 garlic gloves, minced
  • 1 farm fresh egg
  • ½ cup plain flavored soy milk
  • 2 cups soy cheese, any flavor
  • 2 tsp. fresh basil, minced
  • 1 cup organic bacon, chopped (optional)

To Make:

Preheat the oven to 400. All the vegetables here are to be of an organic variety. All the ingredients listed above can be found at a health foods store if your local supermarket does not carry organic products.

First, get your pie crust opened and ready to go. In a small bowl, crack open your egg. Only use the egg white. It is all about healthier options here. Whip the egg with a fork for one minute. Pour the egg into the pie crust. Add the soy milk to the pie crust.

A little more milk may be needed to fill up the crust, but do not fill it too full. You still have to add vegetables and it may overflow. Now chop up all of your vegetables. Add the tomatoes, onion, zucchini, bell pepper, and garlic to the pie crust. They will mix in with the egg mixture.

Now throw in the bacon and sprinkle the entire pie crust with fresh basil. Top off your quiche with any flavor of soy cheese that you like. Bake the quiche on 400 for 30-35 minutes or until the egg, mixture is firm. Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool just a little.

Cut it into slices and serve.
