Recipe for Deep Fried Prime Rib

This recipe will give you one of the moistest and tender prime ribs you have ever served and everyone will be delighted. For this unique recipe you will need:
- 1 large prime rib,
- 3 gallons of peanut oil,
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder,
- 2 teaspoons of rosemary,
- 2 teaspoons of coarse salt,
- 2 teaspoons of pepper, and
- a large pot that will accommodate the 3 gallons of oil and the prime rib roast.
It would also be helpful if you have a basket in which to hold the roast so you can lower it in the hot oil, or a large hook type utensil. The day before you wish to deep fry your roast you will need to prepare the rub and the meat.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture over your entire roast including the ends and then place in a covered dish and refrigerate over night.
Take the roast out of the refrigerator 2 hours before you wish to deep fry. It needs to be at room temperature before deep frying.
Heat the peanut oil to 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Lower your prime rib roast into the hot oil very slowly. You will need to turn up the heat because the oil temperature will lower after the roast is in place. Bring the temperature up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. You will need to fry the prime rib for 4 minutes per pound for medium.
Be careful when removing your roast from the oil. You will need to place the roast on paper towels or even on sliced bread to drain.
