Easy Prime Rib Recipes

There are many ways to prepare easy prime rib recipes that are flavorful and savory.

These easy prime rib recipes will have your taste buds dancing for joy and your guests asking for seconds so be sure you have prepared enough. For this prime rib recipe you will need:

Pre-heat your oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small bowl, mix together the salt and the garlic powder until well blended. Rub this mixture on all parts of the roast and press as you rub. Place the roast in a roasting pan with the fatty side up. Cook until the roast is just browned. Now, turn off your oven and leave the roast alone. Do not open the oven door at all. In two hours check your roast.

The inner temperature of the roast should be 140 degrees Fahrenheit when using a meat thermometer in the center of the roast. This will be for a medium rare prime rib roast. If this is not your desired doneness you can turn the oven on once again and bake your roast at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until required doneness.

Checking often to ensure that the roast does not dry out in the baking process, if you bake it too long it will be very dry.

All easy prime rib recipes ask that you begin with a hot oven at 500 degrees and then lower the temperature. The browning process is to help hold in the juices created by the roast during the roasting process. You can substitute any of the spices with your favorites but garlic, salt and pepper is usually the favorite among many chefs.
