Two New Prime Rib RecipesEveryone sure enjoys a good prime rib when it is tender and juicy. Finding recipes that will achieve this goal can be difficult at times; you may find yourself searching through your recipe box, asking family and friends and may even venture out to your local library in search of a new and different prime rib recipe that will satisfy your craving. One recipe just like that is this prime rib recipe that you are sure to enjoy on any occasion. For this wonderful recipe you will need: - ¼ cup of salt,
- 1/8 cup of black pepper,
- 1/8 cup of finely chopped garlic,
- 2 tablespoons of thyme, and
- 2 tablespoon of marjoram.
Pre-heat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together all of the ingredients and rub and press into the prime rib including all sides and ends. Place the steak into a shallow baking pan and bake for around 15 minutes or just until browned. Turn your oven down to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking for around 2 hours or until desired doneness.
Another great prime rib recipe that is close to the one above is this one. You will need: - the 1 – 10 pound prime rib roast,
- 10 minced cloves of garlic,
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 2 teaspoons of thyme,
- 2 teaspoons of pepper, and
- 2 teaspoons of seasoning salt.
Pre-heat your oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Put the rib roast in a roasting or baking pan with the fatty side up. In a bowl, mix together the garlic, vegetable oil, thyme, pepper, and salt. Spread and rub this mixture over the layer of fat on the roast and allow to sit until roast is room temperature. Bake for 20 minutes and then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Allow your prime rib roast to sit before carving for about 10 minutes so it will keep its juicy flavor texture
