Salisbury Casserole Chuck Steak

You will need:

  • 3 pounds chuck steak
  • 1 package elbow macaroni
  • 34 oz. canned garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 6 anchovy filets, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2-tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1-teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Chuck SteakHeat a large casserole or pot over medium heat adding oil and allowing to heat until fragrant. Chop anchovies, garlic, and rosemary together into a paste. Put in the casserole this paste browning well, but do not burn it. Dilute tomato paste in ΒΌ cup of water. Add to the garlic paste lowering heat and let cook 20 minutes.

Add garbanzo beans and an equal amount of water. Flavor with salt and bring it to boil over medium heat. Add elbow macaroni, chuck steaks, and cook 10 minutes or until tender and sauce is thick. Add pepper and serve topping with cheese. (optional)

You will need:

  • 4 boneless chuck steaks
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation:

Place chuck steaks in a glass dish and combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl mixing well. Pour over chuck steak the mixture, covering well and refrigerate to marinate overnight. Grill steaks on low to medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side for medium rare and serve immediately with potato puree topped with gravy.
