The ingredients you will need to prepare the eye of the round steak recipe for Roast Beef are :

  • 3 pounds beef eye of round roast,
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and a
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.

You can replace the kosher salt, garlic powder and black pepper with a seasoning salt; this will add a wonderful flavor.

The first thing you need to do to prepare your eye of the round steak for this recipe is to preheat your oven to 375 degreed F. It would be best if you tie the eye round steak with cotton twine close to every 3 inches.

Place the eye of the round steak in a large baking pan and season with the seasoning you have chosen. Now, bake in the oven for 20 minutes per pound. If you did chose to use a 3 pound eye of the round steak then you should bake it for 1 hour.

To ensure the flavor of the eye of the round steak recipes is all in the cooking time. Do not over cook.

Eye of the round steak recipes can be changed to fit your own taste. You can add other items such as mushrooms, or other vegetables.
