Hamburger Steak Recipes

What makes a great hamburger steak?  All the ingredients you add to the ground hamburger meat will enhance your hamburger steaks. Don’t just think hamburger steaks are made to be put between a bun either. You can enjoy hamburger steak in a variety of ways.

Hamburger steak recipes can instruct you to grill, broil, fry, or even bake. But, the secret to new and different recipes is the ingredients you use to create these delectable meals. Here is a very simple recipe that your family will enjoy.

You will need:

  1. 2 pounds of lean ground hamburger,
  2. 2 teaspoons of soy sauce,
  3. 1 finely chopped onion,
  4. 1 finely chopped green pepper,
  5. 1 can of your favorite cream soup and
  6. 1 can of water or milk,
  7. salt and pepper.

You can also use a can of mushrooms if desired. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the hamburger, soy sauce, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper, and shape into patties. Place the patties in a shallow baking dish. Mix together the cream soup and water or milk. Pour the mixture over the patties, place the mushrooms on top. Bake for one hour covered or until the patties are desired doneness.

Other wonderful hamburger steak recipes can be just as scrumptious. Here is an excellent example for grilling.

 You will need:

  1. 2 pounds of lean ground hamburger,
  2. 4 cloves of minced garlic,
  3. 4 tablespoons of minced onion,
  4. 2 tablespoons of your favorite steak sauce, and
  5. 8 slices of bacon,
  6. salt and pepper.

Preheat your grill. Mix together the hamburger, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and steak sauce. Shape into 4 patties. Wrap 2 pieces of bacon around each patty in a criss-cross pattern; use a toothpick to hold in place. Grill until desired doneness. Hamburger should be cooked until the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees.

For either of the hamburger steak recipes above you can always add other items such as Swiss cheese. If adding it to the baked method, use shredded cheese and add it 10 minutes before the steaks are ready, just long enough for the cheese to melt.
