Pepper Steak Recipes
Is there a secret to preparing delectable pepper steak recipes? Not really. Just finding the right recipe, which your family will enjoy, is the secret.
Many people use flank steak for their pepper steak recipes, but you can use any of your favorite beef steaks to prepare wonderful pepper steak recipes. Here is one recipe that will have your dinner guests asking for seconds. You will need:
- black peppercorns,
- white peppercorns,
- 2 steaks,
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce,
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce,
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and
- 1 tablespoon of your favorite hot sauce.
To begin you need to crush the peppercorns and pound your steaks with the peppercorns on them. This will make the peppercorns go into the steaks and will provide a wonderful unique flavor. You will need a large enough covered dish to place the steaks in the refrigerator. Mix the remaining ingredients Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce vinegar and hot sauce together. Place the steaks into the marinade that you just made and refrigerate covered for 2 hours. You never want to leave the steaks at room temperature to marinate. Bacteria will grow on warm meat. After marinating, your steaks are ready to broil or grill. Grill to desired doneness.
Other great pepper steak recipes that are just a little fancier can also be enjoyed by dinner guests. You will love receiving the compliments after serving the following meal.
You will need for the marinade:
- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce,
- 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and pepper.
- Flank steak is used for this recipe also, you will need to thinly slice your steaks across the grain and then marinate in the above mixture for 10 minutes.
Other ingredients you will need include :
- 1/3 cup beef broth,
- 2 tablespoons of rice wine,
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce,
- 1 teaspoon of sugar,
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic,
- ½ teaspoon ginger,
- ½ green pepper,
- ½ red pepper,
- ½ yellow pepper,
- 2 tablespoons of water,
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch dissolved in water,
While the steak is marinating, combine all the next ingredients in a large bowl except oil, garlic, ginger and cornstarch mixture.. Prepare your wok by heating on high until the wok is hot. Now use the oil and swirl to coat all of the wok. Add the garlic and ginger cook for around 15 seconds. Now, add your slices of steak and cook until you can no longer see any pink. Remove the steak from the wok. Add a little more vegetable oil, swirl again to coat all sides. Next, add peppers and cook approximately 1 minute, add water and stir until they are a little tender. Now, place the steak back into the wok and add the sauce that you prepared above. Bring to a boil, add cornstarch mixture, and cook until sauce is desired consistency.
