Recipes for Cube Steak

The ingredients you need are cube steak:
- a large bowl that the steak can fit into perfectly flat, a large bowl of flour,
- seasoning that you prefer (usually salt, pepper, and seasoning salt),
- 2 eggs,
- a cookie sheet or pizza pan, and
- a refrigerator.
Okay the first step is to beat the 2 eggs together in a large bowl large enough for the steak to fit. Now, place the first steak in the bowl of flour, you want to completely cover the steak in flour, make sure it is thick.
Then shake off the excess, now dip the steak into the egg mixture hold the steak above the bowl and allow the excess to drip off. Again place the steak in the bowl of flour and completely cover it again. Shake off the excess and place on the flat pan.
Do this procedure for each steak. After you have all the steaks on the flat pan, place in the refrigerator. Placing your steaks in the refrigerator and allowing the coating to cool for around 15 minutes will ensure that the coating does not fall off during frying. Fry the steaks in a small amount of vegetable oil or lard until golden brown.

You will need
- 8 tablespoons of butter or margarine,
- 1/3 cup of flour, and
- whole milk or condensed milk or cream.
- Place the butter in a large deep frying pan, melt the butter completely, and then add 1/3 cup of flour.
Stir until the flour thickens, now gradually add the milk, a little at a time stirring constantly, and as the gravy thickens add more milk.
When you have enough gravy for your family and it is the consistency that you like your gravy is finished.
Some people prefer their gravy thin, while others prefer thick gravy. This gravy recipe will thicken as it sits.
