Top Sirloin Lemon and Dried Tomatoes Recipe and a Top Sirloin Garlic Pot Roast Recipe

Top Sirloin Garlic Pot Roast Recipe

You will need:

  • 1 top sirloin roast (3 pound)
  • 6 Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 6 cloves garlic, slivered
  • 4 carrots cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 2 large sweet onions, peeled and chopped
  • 2 large green bell peppers cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 3 cubes beef bouillon
  • 1-teaspoon ground black pepper fresh
  • 1-teaspoon paprika
  • 1-teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf

Rub salt, pepper, and paprika into the meat. Make slits in the roast using a sharp small knife and press garlic slivers into it. Place onions, carrots, and potatoes in a large slow cooker. Add sirloin on top of vegetables. Pour in beef broth and water, adding bay leaf and bouillon cubes. Place lid on slow cooker, cooking roast for 8 hours on low heat or 6 hours on high. Add green peppers during the last half hour of cooking, Serve hot.

Top Sirloin With Lemon and Dried Tomatoes

You will need

4 top sirloin steaks, (5-6 oz.)

For the Marinade:

  • 4 dried tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon, zest, and juice
  • 1-tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1-tablespoon celery seeds
  • 1-tablespoon liquid honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Soften dry tomatoes in boiling water for about 10 minutes, drain and chop. Mix all the marinade ingredients in a glass bowl. Reserve half of marinade. Place meat in a dish and pour marinade coating well. Cover sirloin and refrigerate to marinate for about an hour. Preheat the barbecue grill to medium heat.

Remove the meat from marinade, draining well. Cook sirloin 3-4 minutes each side. Heat reserved marinade and simmer 2 minutes. Pour hot marinade over top sirloin and serve immediately.
