Stuffed Flank Steak Recipes

Stuffed flank steak recipes can be used for a romantic dinner for two. You will just need a little time to prepare and then while your romantic dinner is cooking you can be getting ready for your evening.

There are quite a few recipes for preparing stuffed flank steak recipes for just two. This one is really great and does give you plenty of time to pick out your clothing for the evening and light the candles.

You will need the following ingredients to prepare this stuffed flank steak recipe:

  1.  2 tablespoons of butter or margarine,
  2. cup of chopped or sliced celery,
  3. cup of chopped onion,
  4. cup of grated parmesan cheese,
  5. 2 tablespoons of water,
  6. cup of croutons,
  7. teaspoon of basil leaves,
  8. pound boneless beef flank steak, and
  9. 1 small can of tomato sauce.

You will need only 20 minutes to prepare this delicious meal and then you can spruce up the place while dinner is cooking.

First, you need to melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in a skillet and add the vegetables. When the vegetables are still crisp but a little tender add the croutons, cheese, water and basil. Stir together and then remove from heat.

Cut your flank steak so you can open it like a book; spread the vegetable mixture on one side of the opened steak. Now, roll the steak up like a jelly roll and tie the steak together using cotton twine.

Place the remaining butter in the skillet, fry the steak until it is evenly browned on all sides. Pour the tomato sauce over the steak and cover. Cook on low for 2 hours, or until the steak is tender. Check on your steak every once in awhile and baste with the tomato sauce. When you are ready cut into slices and serve this wonderful steak. Don’t forget to light the candles.

You can also prepare stuffed flank steak recipes with several different types of ingredients but they are all prepared basically the same way.

You can add items such as green peppers, boxed stuffing, and use any type of cream soup instead of tomato sauce. The secret is cooking the stuffed flank steak on low and basting for at least 1 hours.
