Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, stir the sour cream in the mixture and allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes. This recipe is traditionally served over noodles, but it goes well with rice too. In two separate large, non-aluminum shallow baking dishes place peppers and mushrooms pouring 1/2 cup of marinade in one and another 1/2 cup marinade over top sirloin steak, turning to coat well. Cover and refrigerate to marinate for 30 minutes. Keep remaining marinade refrigerated. Remove vegetables and top sirloin steak from marinades, discarding liquid. Grill together sirloin and vegetable for 20 minutes or until medium rare or medium doneness and vegetables are tender, flipping occasionally and brushing frequently with refrigerated marinade. Serve garnished with cheese. If you are unsure about when top sirloin is done, use a use a meat thermometer. Sirloin reaches its medium at 160º Fahrenheit. |
