Top round steak is the tenderest part of the round; it can be prepared as pot roast or cut into thick steaks for braised dishes.

A great recipe for top round steak is to prepare it as a pot roast. The ingredients you need include the steak of course, choose the size you need to feed your family, about 6 medium sized fresh carrots, 6 – 7 raw potatoes, 8 green onions, 1 green pepper, ground pepper, and seasoning salt.

To prepare the top round steak, rub the seasoning salt and ground pepper all over the steak.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, after the oven is ready, place steak in a rectangular baking dish that is deep enough to hold the steak and all the vegetables.

Cover the baking dish and steak with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

While the steak is baking, wash and peel the carrots and cut them into inch slices, wash and peel the potatoes and cut them into at least 4 pieces, wash and cut the green pepper into bite size pieces, wash and remove the first layer of the green onions and then cut them into small pieces.

After the steak has baked for 30 minutes remove it from the oven, turn it over and add your vegetables, now bake again for 30 minutes with the aluminum foil covering the entire dish. Now, you can enjoy your meal.
