Turkey Salad

Turkey salad maybe the most popular way to serve leftover turkey and there are so many different ways to create turkey salad that you will be amazed. No matter how much turkey you have leftover you will be able to create many different salads and even freeze them to have at a later date.

For the first recipe you will need 3 cups of chopped leftover turkey, ½ cup of French dressing, 2 tablespoons of miracle whip, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, ¼ cup of minced onions, and lettuce leaves. In a bowl, mix together the French dressing and turkey and set in the refrigerator, allow to marinate for 1 hour. Then remove the turkey from the dressing and place in a bowl, mix in the miracle whip, lemon juice and onion. Serve on the lettuce leaves.

This is another very easy turkey salad recipe that you are sure to enjoy. You will need 4 cups of leftover turkey, 1 cup of miracle whip, 1 cup of chopped celery, ½ cup of your favorite nuts in slivers, lemon juice, lettuce leaves, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix all ingredients together and serve on lettuce leaves or serve as sandwiches.

One of my favorite turkey salad recipes uses fruit as an added flavoring. You will need 3 cups of leftover turkey, 2 chopped stalks of celery, 1 chopped onion, 1 can of mandarin orange segments, 1 cup of seedless grapes, 1 cup of chopped apples, 1 cup of miracle whip, and lettuce leaves. Mix together all ingredients except the lettuce leaves and allow to chill in the refrigerator. Serve on the lettuce leaves. You can also add such items as walnuts, raisins, or other items to enhance the flavor of this turkey salad.

You can serve any of these turkey salads with crackers, a variety of breads or plain on lettuce leaves. Each one is very delectable and easy to prepare and a great way to use that leftover turkey.
