Turkey Stuffing Recipes
No holiday would be complete at all without a traditional turkey stuffing. Today, many people are now not putting the stuffing inside the turkey, but traditional stuffing was always put inside the turkey and is the best way in my opinion to have turkey stuffing. Let’s look at some of the traditional turkey stuffing recipes for stuffing your holiday turkey. For the first recipe you will need 3 beaten eggs, 10 cups of crumbled dried bread, 2 teaspoons of poultry seasoning, ¾ cup of chopped celery, ¾ cup of chopped onion, ½ teaspoon of rubbed sage, and ¼ cup of chicken broth. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together except for the broth. Lightly sprinkle the broth over the mixture after mixed well. Loosely stuff turkey with your turkey stuffing. This is how my mom made her turkey stuffing; she loved using her walnuts and other flavorings to enhance her stuffing. You will need 3 cups of bread crumbs. To create these bread crumbs, toast your bread, lightly butter it with real butter and then crumble. Other ingredients you will need include 4 ounces of mild flavored cooked crumbled sausage, ¾ cup of finely chopped Red Washington apple, ½ cup of finely chopped onion, ½ to ¾ cups of finely chopped walnuts, 1/2 teaspoon of rubbed sage, ¾ cup of chicken broth, and 1/3 cup of real butter. Mix together the toast crumbs, apple, onion, walnuts and all the seasonings. Heat the broth with the butter until the butter is completed melted and mixed well. Toss the stuffing together with the broth and lightly stuff your turkey during the last hour of baking. Or you can also bake it separately in a baking dish for 45 minutes. This is one recipe that all of your guests will enjoy.
