You will enjoy serving veal cutlets with a savory mushroom sauce with the following recipe. This recipe will serve between 6 and 8 hungry guests; you can double the recipe if you are serving a large group. You will need: - 6 slices of bacon,
- ½ cup of chopped onions,
- 1 ½ to 2 pounds of veal cutlets around ½ inch thick,
- 1 egg,
- 2 tablespoons of milk,
- ½ cup of bread crumbs,
- 2 teaspoons of your favorite steak sauce,
- ½ to 1 teaspoon of gravy browning sauce,
- 2 cans of Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup.
To begin you will need to pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and cook the bacon until crisp. In the same skillet in which you cooked your bacon leave the drippings and add the onion. Cook the onion until it is transparent. Then remove the onions and place in a small bowl. Rinse the veal cutlets and cut into serving size. In a bowl, beat together the egg and milk. Now, dip the cutlets into the egg mixture and then roll in the bread crumbs. In the bacon drippings brown each veal cutlet until golden brown on both sides. While the cutlets are browning, mix together in a small bowl, the steak sauce and browning sauce and then stir in the soup.
